    What a shame. The food is great but I made the big mistake of using them to cater a party. I ordered food for 15 people, sirloin strips, rice, and asparagus, plus a proscuitto and fruit appetizer. I tried and tried to get a price. Two hours before my party Maria called and said the total was $1200!!!!! To add insult to injury my delivery was over an hour and a half late. I think Maria has a screw loose and I cannot believe they can stay in business....or maybe I can because they manage to keep fleecing suckers like me.

    Simply the finest quality, most delicious take out food in all of NYC. The large selection of soups are pure and amazing. Appetizers like leeks, steamed artichokes or vegetable salad are special. Whether it’s vegetarian lasagna, sole francese, beef Wellington or baby back BBQ ribs, you will be pleased. The list goes on and on. Desserts such as angel food cake, chocolate mouse, a custard flan, pie or cookies you can’t go wrong. I see reviews commenting on the rudeness of staff. You’re not going to find casual small talk because they are always so busy and there is usually a five minute wait. I’m pleasant and they treat me fine. I have never experienced bad behavior. I’m there to purchase delicious food to take home, unlike a restaurant where I’m looking for a dining experience with gracious service. Food cost is relative to the quality. I hope Maria stays open forever. If it closes someday I will miss it very much.

    Super rude staff. I think the owner herself actually was the rude one which is pretty sad, stores are trying to attract customers but here, they are rude to those who are actually in there
